Bootstrapping a Micro-SaaS to $10k/MRR

The Realistic Path to $10k MRR

Building a profitable Micro-SaaS in 2026 is less about writing code and entirely about solving painful, expensive problems. The developers who succeed are the ones who put distribution before product.

High-Ticket B2B vs Low-Ticket B2C

If you charge $5/month, you need 2,000 customers to reach $10k MRR. Earning 2,000 customers requires massive, viral marketing.

However, if you build a tool that solves a painful B2B problem and charge $200/month, you only need 50 customers. Finding 50 businesses is achievable through cold email, LinkedIn outreach, and direct networking.

Stop building in the void.

Validate the pain point before writing a single line of React. Talk to the businesses you intend to sell to and ask them if they will prepay for the solution. If they say no, pivot.
